Fajitas are a family favourite in our house and I played around with some spices and a piece of flank steak that turned out to be the most amazing fajita dinner yet. Even my kiddos who much prefer chicken were amazed.
Here are the simple ingredients and steps
2 ounces of tequila
2tsp soy sauce
1/2 tsp pepper
Juice from 2 limes
1 clove crushed fresh garlic
1/4 cup fresh chopped cilantro
Mix all of the ingredients in a bowl
Put your flank steak in a sealable bag and add the marinade. Let it sit for at least 4 hours (feel free to leave it overnight)
Set your grill on high and sear both sides to lock in the moisture and cook until desired doneness. (Is that even a word? 😂)
The key to cutting a flank steak is to cut thin slices against the grain. We also added some sliced onions and peppers in tinfoil and cooked that on the grill too.
